Advance notice is given of the year’s programme ahead on this website with the dates of commence and conclusion of each course/programme. Specific courses are periodically flashed in the 'Latest announcement' as the occasion arrives.
Eligibility:- Teachers working in Universities / Colleges that are included under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, even though they may not yet be fit to be included under section 12(b) may attended in the Orientation Programmes/Refresher Courses. The teachers of colleges that do not yet come within the purview of section 2(f), but have been affiliated to a University for at least five years, will be permitted to participate in the OPs/RCs.
Beneficiaries are adviced to apply Online well 25 days before the commencement of each Programme and not to wait the last moment to avoid further difficulties. Maximum number of seats is 40 per batch.
Selected Candidates should sent the form of acceptance along with a photograph and a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- (non-refundable) drawn in favour of the Director, UGC-HRDC, University of Calicut, payable at SBI, Calicut University.
The candidates are requested to write name, official address and the name of the programme on reverse side of the Demand Draft for identification.
Ph.D./M.Phil holders, whose promotion is overdue for want of mandatory courses are directed to submit a special request recommended by the principal/Registrar to the Director by post for getting priority.
Travelling Allowance: Participants are eligible for Travelling Allowance. 3rd AC (Rail Journey) fare / Deluxe Bus fare (Road Journey) will be allowed only if journey tickets (Original of onward journey and copy of return journey) are furnished. Shortest and cheapest road / rail routes are considered for calculating TA. If tickets are not furnished, road mileage allowance @ 100 ps /Km or Sleeper charges, whichever is least, is allowed. Parappanangadi (PGI) and Feroke (FK) are the railway stations nearest to HRDC. No Taxi / Auto rickshaw charges are allowed.
Daily Allowance: No DA will be paid to the Participants as per UGC directions (F.No. 1-13/2017 (HRDC), dated: 04.06.2018). Tea & Snacks and working lunch will be provided in working days.
Leave: No leave will be granted during the course.
Processing Fee: Every participant has to remit Rs. 250/- (in cash) as Processing Fee at the time of registration.
