(1) The list of allotted courses / programmes for the year 2020-21 is available in the link 'Schedule 2020-21'. (2) 4th Induction Programme is scheduled to conduct from 25.02.2021 to 24.03.2021. Last date for receipt of appln. is 12.02.2021. (3) Short Term Course on Strategic Planning for Quality Development is scheduled to conduct from 09.02.2021 to 15.02.2021. Last date for receipt of appln. is 29.01.2021. (4) Interaction Programme for Ph.D Research Scholers / Post Doctoral Fellows is scheduled to conduct from 23.02.2021 to 15.03.2021. Last date for receipt of appln. is 12.02.2021. (5) No Programmes will be conducted without minimum number of participants (20 nos.) under any circumstances. (6) Demand Draft (Registration Fee - non-refundable) of Rs. 1000/- drawn in favour of the Director, UGC-HRDC, University of Calicut, payable at SBI, Calicut University. (7) Ph.D./M.Phil holders, whose promotion is overdue for want of mandatory courses are directed to submit a special request recommended by the principal/Registrar to the Director by post for getting priority. (8) Printout of the application (Hard copy) is not required to submit at HRDC office.

UGC-HRDC, University of Calicut

The UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, University of Calicut established on 13.08.1987, has been imparting professional training through Orientation Programme, Refresher and Short Term Courses of a large number of College and University teachers within and outside the state. HRDC is also organizing Professional Development course for the Non-Academic staff, Interaction Programme for Ph.D Scholars, Short Term Course for the Professional Development for Academic staff of Universities / Colleges and National level seminars in various topics in different disciplines. In addition to the above mentioned programmes the HRDC is organizing diversified training programmes of three days duration for the faculties of Self Financing Engineering Colleges/Training Colleges etc.

The Human Resource Development Centre is fully facilitated with sufficient number of techno savy class rooms, well maintained computer lab and a resourceful library. We have a fullfludged Guest House exclusively for the participants of HRDC. It is certain that the Human Resource Development Centre, University of Calicut can defenitly play a vital role in achieving the real goal of higher education.

 Objectives of the Human Resource Development Centre.

(a) Understand the significance of education in general, and higher education in particular, in the global and Indian contexts (b) Understand the linkages between education and economic and socio-economic and cultural development, with particular reference to the Indian polity where democracy, secularism and social equity are the basic tenets of society (c) Acquire and improve art of teaching at the college/university level to achieve goals of higher education (d) Keep abreast of the latest developments in their specific subjects (e) Understand the organization and management of a college/university and to perceive the role of teachers in the total system (f) Utilize opportunities for development of personality, initiative and creativity and Promote computer literacy as well use of ICT in teaching and learning process.
